A series of pictures of Western Reserve Village at The Canfield Fair Grounds, Mahoning County, Canfield Township in Ohio.

The buildings are real, quite old going back well over a century, and contain actual items in each building that are original. In the shop are old scales, clothes, dishes and candies; the doctor's and dental offices contain old chairs, desks, old tools (scary) used as medical devices, apothecary jars and medications; the school house has old desks and chalkboards; the church has a beautiful organ, polished pews and alters with gorgeous hanging light fixtures (I've heard that weddings are performed there); the blacksmith shop has the old tools to make horseshoes; the train station looks like an old depot transported in time from the old locomotive steam engines to today's modern rail ~ it has well-used, leather suitcases and wooden benches that weary travelers once used; the covered bridge has been renovated to look its best; the train has an engine, cars and a caboose and can be entered during the fair; the gazebo has musical groups during the fair along with the stage attached to the train depot; the circular red-brick sidewalk and paths has a man riding on a huge old-fashioned tricycle with a giant front wheel (see the CSS banner at =ohioDeviants); wood plank fences, flower gardens and water pumps simply add to the authenticity of the village. An amazing sight and a pleasant tour on a warm summer's day.
