Ohio Blizzard over February 5th and 6th and it is still snowing. At the first of the week the forecast said flurries on and off all week with little accumulation. At some point do believe that forecast changed. The Weather Channel did say we'd get a few inches of snow. Well, this is definitely a few inches.....

It is so quiet and the air smells just wonderful. The cold instantly freezes the nose but it is worth just standing outside for a bit to take it all in.

O_o I read how the mid-Atlantic was going to be paralyzed with snow today and into the weekend. Guess something had to hit you guys first! :faint:

Oh, it sure did. More is on the way. Delaware is totally shut down under a level-three snow-emergency. New York didn't get a thing. The storm came in via the south so it leveled off at some point and we were at the top end of it, so we didn't get anything near what Philadelphia and Delaware and Maryland got. If it had been a Nor'easter or an Alberta Clipper we wouldn't be having this conversation as there probably wouldn't be any electricity, let alone Internet :wow: :faint:

I cannot tell you how many mailboxes we have had over the years. Somehow the plow always gets it!

I'm glad ours is attached to the house at the front door. Nothing to knock it don't and it is easy to know when the mail comes.

When we bought this house the mailbox was at the end of the driveway and on the other side of the edition, which was older, had the mailboxes on the house. Now, all the mailboxes are at the end of the road of the editions being built with lock boxes. Guess it is a way for the government to save money.

I guess. Ken's is a locked box that is grouped in with everyone else's box because they have a locked gate.

Years ago I saw an edition in Florida with those boxes at the front of the development with a parking area near the community pool and I thought it was because it was a fancier edition. Nah. Just the government saving bucks. I suppose there would be no other way to have mailboxes with a locked gate then a separate section just for P. O. Boxes. We have a P. O. Box but a lot of our mail still comes to the house.
